Mike Rawson, owner and sole carver, is an Ohio native.  He is now retired from education where he spent 32 years in the classroom and coaching.  He has always had an interest in woodworking but like most other retirees can now devote himself to the simpler pleasures of life.  Since his retirement, he has gone from a hobbyist to a full time carver. Mike has been refining his skills so that it has now become a rewarding second career.

Adapting designs from over hundreds of horses has allowed Mike to achieve rich, full, beautiful results with superb balance and natural harmony.  Each horse has it’s own color, texture and identity.

Every child loves to ride these horses and every adult admires the beauty of design and natural wood appeal.
