This goergous horse is made from walnut.  Walnut is a great wood to work with.  In every walnut tree there is every shade of brown imaginable.  They range from near pure whites to deep blacks.  Using all of these shades of colors you can make some beautiful horses.  No two boards even come close to looking the same even if the wood comes from the same tree.  So far I have made 10 horses from walnut.

This horse was completed in November, 2010 and resides in Annapolis, Maryland.
