Tegh,she (the Wynadott Indian word for "Star".  He is made with 70 board feet of very sturdy Ash.  Ash is one of the strongest, most stable woods available.    The rocker is also made of Ash. If you look you can see all the grain available in Ash.  If you're looking for grain an Ash baseball bat chacnes are you'll not see it at least not in a bat that stays around awhile.  You see, when they make a bat, they try to eliminate as much grain as possible for that is the weak point in the length.  

Tegh,she eye's are  light brown glass  made in Woonsocket, South Dakota at the Van Dyke Company. While on a hunting expedition this past fall, I had the opportunity to visit the Van Dyke Company and watch these craftsman at work. It was an 
"eye-opening" experience to say the least.

The horse and rocker jointly weigh 103 lbs.  Specific Gravity is .61

All pieces of the horse and rocker have been doweled and/or glued with the highest durability and quality interior/exterior wood glue. Absolutely no metal is used in the construction process. This allows for an even expansion and contraction variance. Due to the amount of glue, and the smaller and thinner pieces the wood is much more stable and will endure for centuries.

The rocker itself is crafted from six laminated strips of wood.  This lamination process insures  that the rocker will endure much use without cracking, breaking, or bending for generations.   

The horses will support a person up to 200 lbs.

The rockers and horses are layered with three coats of interior/exterior high grade quality polyurethane for durability
and a permanent sheen.
